Mother bound us to her by her exquisite love and compassion. It was because she lived there that her house at Baghbazar grew to be a haven of peace and consolation to all those whom the world had pained and injured.
Now I had to take my leave. I went to take the dust off her feet, "Mother, I shall have to go to my father's house very soon."
Mother replied affectionately, "Come back soon, my dear. Write to me."
I had brought a sAri for her. When I was about to leave, she said, "Show me that cloth you brought, my dear, I shall wear it."
