Sarayubala Devi:

15 June, 1912 :

One evening two good-looking young married women were talking to Mother privately in the north veranda. As soon as I discovered Mother I presented myself before her. I heard Mother saying, "Tell the Master your heart's desire and pray to him. Let him know of the pain in your hearts and he will place in your lap that which you want."

I knew immediately that the two young ladies were praying to Mother for children. They were embarassed when they saw me and I even more so.....

A few months later I met them again at Mother's house and this time I noticed that they were both pregnant.

Gouri-Ma had come. When I pressed her to tell us something about the Master, she said, "I had come to the Master long before the others. The others came later. I saw Naren and *Kali when they were children."

As it was getting late, there was no time for much conversation. Gouri-Ma bowed to Mother and went away.

*(Actually Narendra Nath (Swami Vivekananda born in 1863) met the Master earlier than Gouri-Ma (born 1857) though Kali (Swami Abhedananda) came a little later. They were not much younger than her. - Publisher)

(to be continued....)
