A READING from: "In The Company of The Holy Mother"Â
(available at all Vedanta Centres)
A growing detachment was noticed in Holy Mother's words and demeanour. One day she said to a disciple, "I am feeling very weak. I realize that the Master's work that was to be done through this body has come to an end. Now my mind longs for him alone; I do not relish enything else.
"You know how dearly I love Radhu, how much I have done for her comfort and welfare. Now I feel quite differently. I become annoyed when she comes near me. Why should she drag my mind down? All these years the Master kept me preoccupied with Radhu for the purpose of his work; would it have been possible, otherwise, for me to live after his death?"
Jogin-Ma begged her to think a little about Radhu. Holy Mother replied firmly, gazing as if into the great beyond, "I have snapped the bond of mAyA; no more of it."
Her last words to Radhu were: "I have cut off all my ties to you. What can you do to me? Do you think I am a mere human being?"
Her final message to a bewildered, afflicted, and hate-worn world, she gave five days before her death. To a weeping woman devotee she said, "Let me tell you something. If you want peace of mind do not look into others' faults. Rather look into your own.
"Learn to make the whole world your own. No one is a stranger, my child. The whole world is your own."
