Sarayubala Devi:

15 June, 1912 :

On another occasion I went and found Mother resting after her noon-day meal. At her wish, I lay down near her and commenced to fan her, when she suddenly began to talk to herself, "Well, my dear, here you all are, but where is he (the Master)?"

Hearing this I said, "I never had the good fortune of seeing him in this life and he alone knows if I shall ever see him in some other life. Nevertheless, it is my great good fortune, Mother, that I have been permitted to see you."

"Quite so," said Mother approvingly....

I was rather foolish in those days and did not realize that many people could have secrets to talk over with Mother. Of course, there was no reason why I should know, because it was only a short time since I had begun to visit her. As it was, if I did not see Mother in her own room, I would look around for her and find her wherever she might be.

(to be continued....)
