A READING from: "In The Company of The Holy Mother"Â
(available at all Vedanta Centres)
One day Mother said. "When I was at the music tower at Dakshineswar for serving the Master, I had to live in that small room with great difficulty. And into it, what a lot of things had to be packed. ...But no difficulty was too great when it was meant for some service to him. The days passed on unnoticed in great delight. And now I am in this trouble for Radhu's sake.
Along with you all, I am wasting my days here in this forest.
"My rites and rituals, japa and vows are all cast to the winds. Now all this will be worthwhile if she passes this ordeal without a scratch." (Radhu was then expecting a child).
A little later our sister-in-law of Navasan came and cried, "Now brother, could you imagine this? Mother and I sat here at noon; it was very quiet." Mother said, "Those two crows used to come and caw here at this time and Radhu felt very much disturbed. But how is that we have been missing them for the last few days! Can you tell me where they have gone?"
Hardly had Mother finished when the two crows came to the tree and cawed. Mother also laughed and confirmed saying, "It's true, my son."
