Sarayubala Devi:

October-November 1914:

Later I went into the Master's room and found Mother calling him shyly like a bride, "Come and have your food." Then she went to the image of GopAla (child Krishna) and called him as well, "Come, GopAla, come and eat."

I was standing immediately behind her and catching my eye, she laughed and said, "I am calling them all to lunch." With this she went towards the room where the offerings were to be made. Observing her present mood, I felt as though all the gods were following her. I stood there overwhelmed, watching her.

Mother came out of the southernmost room where food was offered to the gods and took her seat in the adjoining chamber in order to partake of the offerings. Afterwards I made a bed for her and she lay down. When I sat down near her, she said, "Lie down now, you have just had your meal."
