Sarayubala Devi:

30 September, 1918:

Gouri-Ma had brought the girls from her Ashrama (on MahAshtami Day). They all worshipped Mother, received of the offerings and departed.

When Bilash Maharaj had finished worshipping the Master, he came in and quietly said to Mother, "I am not sure whether the Master accepted the offering today, Mother. A sAl leaf from the gifts blew in with the breeze and landed on the things. Why did it happen like that? Many people brought in gifts today. I am not sure that everything is all right."

"Did you sprinkle GangA water?" Mother asked.

"O yes, that I did of course," he answered. With this he took his leave. I felt very worried. Today was MahAshtami and the worship of Mother continued in the same manner. As soon as the heaps of flowers and bel leaves were removed to the veranda, more heaps of flowers and leaves collected at Mother's feet.
