A READING from: "In The Company of The Holy Mother"

A few days later we retruned to Koalpara with Kedar Babu's mother, who also had been to Rameswaram with Mother. At the time of departure Mother gave a few rupees to Kedar Babu and said, "Purchase some paddy for the JagaddhAtri worship and get it husked into rice."
Mother once returned to the village in Falguna (February - March). In the course of a talk, Kedar Babu said to her (at Koalpara), "Mother, all your children are learned, while only we few among them are ignorant. Sharat Maharaj is spreading words and ideas of the Master by writing books. Your other boys are delivering lectures and doing other works."
At this Mother said, "How you talk now? As to learning, the Master had almost no education. All that matters is to have the mind fixed in the Lord. Much will be achieved through you in these parts.
"The Master came this time to save all - rich or poor, educated or uneducated. The (southern) Malaya breeze (i.e. Divine Grace) is blowing strong enough, anyone who will hoist his sail a little - one who will seek refuge - will be fully satisfied. All trees will turn into sandalwood (Referring to the belief that the Malaya breeze turns all wood into sandal) - all trees and plants that have a little hardwood - except grass and bamboo.
"Why should you have to worry, since you are my own? But the turth of it is that, a learned monk is like the tusk of an elephant gilded all over."
