A little later we heard a beggar in the street outside, "RAdhA-Govinda! Mother NandarAni (Sri Krishna's foster-mother, YashodA) have pity on the blind!" When Mother heard this she said, "The beggar passes this way almost every night. Formerly he used to say, 'Have pity on the blind, Mother'.
One day Golap-Ma said to him, 'Look here, along with your prayers for help, why don't you take the name of RAdhA and Krishna? It will be good for those who hear you, and for you who utter it.
'What a pity that you should be harping on your blindness only.' Since then, he comes here with the name of RadhA-Govinda on his lips. Golap has given him a cloth and he gets money from time to time."
It was another evening. When I reached the place I heard Mother saying, "New votaries should be allowed to worship the Master, for they come with fresh love and their service is whole-hearted, while the older ones feel tired.
"Is such service an easy matter, my dear? One must be careful not to commit any blunder. But there is a saving factor you know. He pardons because He knows that men are ignorant."...
