Sarayubala Devi:

11 February, 1912 :

As soon as I had bowed to Mother and taken my seat near her, she said regretfully, "Alas, Girish Babu is dead. They came to fetch me for the fourth day obsequies. He is no more, how can I find it in my heart to go there? Such love and faith he had! Have you heard this story about Girish Ghosh? He wished to receive the Master as a son. The Master answered - 'Oh! Much do I care to be born as your son!'

"But do you know, my dear. a short while after the Master left his earthly body, Girish had a son who would not speak to anyone even at four years of age. He would indicate his thoughts by signs. They cared for him as though he were the Master himself. They gave him new clothes, plates, bowls, cups, and everything he needed and would allow no one else to use them."
