A READING from: "In The Company of The Holy Mother"
(available at all Vedanta Centres)
Jayrambati, 11th June, 1913:
I and another were at our midday meal on Mother's veranda.
...In the course of our conversation Mother said, "Satya Yoga (Golden Age) commenced with the advent of the Master. Some highly developed souls came with him. Our Naren (Swami Vivekananda) was the greatest rishi (seer) of the saptarshis (seven seers). The Master could have declared that Naren was one among a hundred rishis; but he actually said, 'one among seven'.
"Arjuna came as Jogin (Swami Yogananda). How many of such outstanding spiritual stature come down with an Incarnation? Do you think a great many? One may get loads of sour mangoes but not so many of the fajli species. Numerous ordinary people are born and die. The greatest souls accompany God in order to do His work."
I said, "Swami Vivekananda too said that the Satya Yuga commenced with the advent of the Master."
"It is so indeed," Mother confirmed.
